Frequently asked questions
Our farm-fresh eggs come from hens raised on pasture with organic, whole-grain feed, resulting in firmer whites, richer yolks, and higher levels of nutrients like omega-3s and vitamins. By buying from us, you’re supporting local business and getting fresher, healthier eggs than conventional supermarket options.
Yes! Grocery eggs can be 30-45 days old before reaching shelves. Our eggs are collected daily and delivered or picked up within days of laying.
We offer eggs of all colors: white, cream, brown, green, and blue! Check out our hens at the About Us page.
Farm fresh eggs have a "bloom," an invisible protective membrane over the shell. The bloom seals the egg from oxygen and bacteria. Eggs purchased at the grocery store don't have this protection and won't last as long!
All eggs come with a care card inclusive of their collection date. For longest lasting eggs, we recommend not washing until you're ready to eat them. To wash, rinse them carefully in warm water without soap.
Washed eggs last about 2 months in the refrigerator. Unwashed eggs can last 2-4 weeks on the counter and about 3 months in the refrigerator.
We're working towards steady, year-round egg production, but availability can vary. Hens naturally slow down their egg production during the hottest summer months and colder winder season, so quantities may be limited. We list what's available each week and always do our best to meet demand!
Unfortunately, we can't ship eggs due to local regulations. Please visit our Shipping and Delivery page for more information on delivery and pickup options.
Federal regulations require raw shell eggs that have not been chemically treated to destroy Salmonella to carry specific safe handling instructions on their labels. Because our eggs are sold in their natural state and retain their protective bloom, you'll find these instructions on every carton. You can cook and consume our eggs just as you would any standard supermarket eggs! Refer to the FAQ on how to clean them prior to consumption.
